Earth Networks
Earth Networks helps organizations mitigate financial, operational and human risk by providing environmental intelligence from the world’s largest hyperlocal weather networks. The company has built a global lightning detection network monitoring lightning activity in over 100 countries.
Schools, airports, sports teams, utilities and government agencies rely on their early warning solutions to safeguard lives, prepare for weather events and optimize operations. Companies across all industries use its weather data to automate decisions regarding risk management, business continuity, and asset protection.

Protecting Lives and Critical Assets

LIGHTNING DETECTION
Operating over 1,800 sensors across 100 countries, the Earth Networks Total Lightning Network is the most advanced global lightning network in the world. Its ability to comprehensively monitor both in-cloud and cloud-to-ground lightning enables the creation of faster severe weather alerts, lightning-derived radar alternatives and real-time storm visualization.

ENTERPRISE ALERTING PLATFORM
Earth Networks proprietary weather and lightning networks enable real-time alerting throughout an organization. Users are able to create custom alerting rules for specific locations based on organization-specific weather thresholds. Alerts can be managed by a central administrator to enforce safety policies or managed individually by users.

LIGHTNING DATASET DERIVATIVES
Total lightning data combined with sophisticated algorithms generate Earth Networks proprietary Dangerous Thunderstorm Alerts (DTAs) to provide an average of 45 minutes of advanced lead time warning for severe weather.
DTAs are issued when there is a high frequency of lightning indicating the increased potential for tornados, high winds, heavy rain, and hail.
